Hallowed Be Thy Good Looks
I am slowly incorporating homemade, natural beauty products into my routine, in lieu of commercial beauty products (it's taking me forever to use up what I've got).
Here is a compilation of healthy beauty products that you can feel safe using, knowing all of the ingredients going into each product.

Eye Makeup Remover
Need:
-small jar/bottle
-1:1 ratio Castile soap:water
-2 Tbsp Jojoba oil (or olive oil)
-1 drop essential oil (ie: lavender)

Peppermint Foot Scrub
Need:
Small jar with air-tight lid
1 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp Castile soap
2 Tbsp coconut oil
1.5 tsp peppermint extract
Cleaning eye makeup off before you go to bed every night is very important. Going to bed with it on can lead to eye infections and generally poor eye-hygiene. A couple of quick swipes with this mild cleanser, and you can go to bed with squeaky clean eyeballs.
*Add your essential oil to your Jojoba oil first to prevent it from remaining separate in solution.
Fill half of your jar or bottle with Castile soap, the other half with water, then add your oils.
Shake before each use, dip a cotton ball into the solution, and wipe makeup from your eyes.

Summer-Time Body Wash
Need:
Air-tight container
1/2 cup coconut oil (soft but solid)
1/4 cup sweet almond Castile soap
(or 1/4 cup plain Castile soap and 1.5 tsp almond extract)
Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Place in an air-tight jar.
Pamper your feet, working generous amounts into the roughest spots (ie: heels). Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
This makes a great holiday gift!

Combine ingredients in a stand mixer and whip on high with the whisk attachment until soft peaks form and the mixture reaches a mousse consistency. (You can do all of this by hand, but it'll take a lot more physical effort - more power to you.)
Using a rubber spatula, scrape the contents from the mixing bowl into your air-tight container.
Use this delicious-smelling concoction during the summer months to luxuriate in the beachy smell and silky smooth skin that results.
